Anthony Porter's Death Penalty Appeal
Anthony Porter has spent 16 years on death row and he's scheduled to die on September 23, 1998. The Illinois Supreme Court grants Porter a four month reprieve from the death penalty based on the fact that Porter had scored so low on an IQ test. So despite the appeals, they say no. It's crazy because I don't think he did it. At this point, all of his direct appeals are exhausted and it all seems completely hopeless.
