Bringing Your Authenticity to a Negotiation
How do you balance creating your own style of negotiation and catering to the methods that this specific negotiation you are engaged in require? One thing that I've realized with a lot of like gurus and experts in the industry is that they kind of codify the person's personality. And so we have to recognize that there are different versions of ourselves that are still authentic. Sometimes I'm going to have to bring like Papa bear Kwame to the negotiation where I need to focus a bit more on protecting my interest. Other times I can be really collaborative, just like that's the negotiate our want to be.
