I Am That by Sri Narsargadatta
In retreats over the decades and in daily life, I have returned to one book more than any other over and over again. It's by Sri Narsargadatta. In the mind is momentarily free from its preoccupations. If you do not disturb this quiet and stay in it, you'll find that it is permeated with the light and a love you have never known and yet you recognize it at once as your own nature. So for me it brought up a deep sense of resonance that light and love, it's the truth. And also a longing that we can't fully inhabit the mystery if we're busy managing.
