In Brighton, nominal Christianity is a big thing. People look at a shelf of identities and pick the atheist or agnostic label. But those who say they don't believe in God now ask further questions. Do you pray? Do you believe in an afterlife? You might know that unless you actually get into conversation with them. And there are multiple of these, aren't there? I've sort of quotes new religions. One of them is the whole kind of wellness trend. This is being accentuated by commercial pressures. Big brands have recognized the enormous profits to be made from making their brands spiritual,. good for the self, good for the soul, and so on. It's absolutely turbocharged
