The idea that knowledge is superior the farther back in time you go is an idea that human beings have had for far longer than anything else. This is fresh on my mind because I just read a book on the Rosetta Stode and the decoding of Egyptian hieroglyphs. And it's a belief that I think is it rears its head, like Graham Hancock and people like that where you want to look to old civilizations to see what they knew that we must have forgotten.
