Let the Dead Bury the Dead
The Savior says, let the dead bury the dead. When we read this, it can sound pretty harsh. But one of the eldest son's most basic responsibilities in both Greek and Jewish cultures was his father's burial. Failure to meet this obligation could make one considered a social outcast in their village.
