The Effective Altruist Movement Recovers

I think that it'll be interesting to see if and how the effective altruist movement recovers from this so William McCaskill was on the board of one of Sam Bankman's other funds hero a long Twitter thread basically saying that it seems like he was duped. I have somewhat mixed feelings because another thing that is credited toWilliam McCaskill at least in part is the giving what we can pledge which basically says that for people like me who sometimes are like wow like I could be doing a lot more for my community why don't you give 10% of your income to charity? That idea has had a profound effect on me.
