Capidocian Thought - Gregory Thamaturcos

Basel of Caesarea was a Capidocian monk who became Bishop in the 360s. He called on his brother Gregory to help him with doctrinal battles over Christian theology. The brothers were influenced by Origen, though they did not follow him indiscriminately. Makrina is known only indirectly through the writings of her two brothers.
