The Trend Toward Greater State Power in South Africa
The case of South Africa seems to be most acute I wonder if you draw any inspiration from what's going on there. In many ways we face the more powerful central state although I suspect that state capacity will decline at the central level in the US which is one of the forces that will allow this trend toward greater it would allow this sort of breakup. But at the same time I also think we have stronger groups of people and local units that could actually organize something to the counter.
