Edmund shakespeare was the only family member who followed william to london and went into theatre. He reportedly fathered a child when he was 20 years old, but it's unclear what his merital status was at this time. edmund then also died only four months later, aged 27. After his death, he had an unusual funeral - held in suffolk rather than afternoon or evening. This may be the sort of closest connection you can find that maybe tells us something about shakespeare’s relationships and his emotional life.
