The Reality of Violence in Prison
I think it's true that in general the police and the courts and prisons do not very often intervene in interpersonal violence. Or they do so in a kind of like almost like random way. So therefore we don't really need to grapple with the reality that like so many people who are in prison have committed violent crimes, you know? It's a sort of like dissociative like not dealing with that issue. And I do want to be generous as well and not dismiss that. If somebody is listening and thinks that we're missing something, some important point to this position, please do let us know because we would like to understand it,. But it doesn't really make sense to me.
