Being a son of a kad wasn't really about ethnica origin or language, though a lot of them did have acadian names. More than anything else, this status was about loyalty to the king. The governor of the city of adop was governor before sargon's conquest and remained so afterward. Only two known governors from southern mesopotamia had acadian names; all sumerian.
