Animals Need to Be Milked

I hear farmers say a lot, oh I know the cows we walk to the parlors themselves so they enjoy it. It isn't what they would want in an ideal situation but that's not because they are willing participants in their own exploitation. They've been selectively bred to produce huge quantities of milk far more than they ever would naturally and so they need to be milked. That doesn't make it ethical to do so - it just shows the extent to which we've exploited them and used them for our own personal gain.
