Do You Need More Leucine to Get Longevity?

Most of the longevity community doesn't even want you to get enough leucine. And let me tell you, if I wanted to get seven grams of leucine, all I have to do is get 12 to 13 ounces of red meat a day,. Not even a pound. It's so much easier to get the leucine that your body requires to have optimal muscle protein synthesis from animal foods. Good luck getting it from plant foods. A combined exercise program consisting of both resistance and endurance type exercise may help to ameliorate the loss of skeletal muscle mass and function.
