Is a Bugout Bag a Failable Option?

I have a hiking slash fish slash bugout bag that i keep in my garage. It has enough pre package food for a few days, some basic fishing equipment and ammo. The question really comes down to is if you think bugging out is a feasible option for you. I also don't spend much time outdoors in the coldest parts of the winter because i hate the cold. So concerns about having heavy, bulky winter gear is not a concern.
