Gemini is Google's attempt to build a general purpose AI that can rival GPT-4. The project is being overseen by Demis Hasabas, who's the CEO of DeepMind. There are some indications that Gemini could be released by the end of the year. Cerebrous announced their Condor Galaxy One 4x a flop AI supercomputer. White House has secured commitments from seven leading AI companies about how they will develop more responsibly and openly.
The White House continues its engagement with the artificial intelligence space today releasing a set of voluntary commitments that a group of leading AI company have formally signed on to. Before that on the Brief: The WSJ reports that Google co-founder Sergey Brin has been spending 3-4 days per week at the company working on their Gemini advanced AI foundation model; a Senator releases two workplace-related AI bills and people are hyped for Runway's latest image-to-video tool.
