The Evolution of Lactose Intolerantness
Lactose intolerance doesn't get the cache culturally that it deserves. It's like 20% or less of the human species can metabolize lactose correctly. And I don't know if at some point in evolutionary history, somebody got a weird mutant version of the lactose processing gene where they could actually do it without getting sick.
