The Importance of Transcripts in Games

We do these things not because they are easy, but because we thought they would be easy. We also have a massive debt to the fans who've taken time to transcribe this work. For instance, some of the games, the source code is no longer available. So you'd think that every game has a sort of some kind of transcript with who's speaking and what they're saying. But very often, that's not the case. And making that available to people, I think is an important thing. Because what we want to see is people studying games in the same way as they might study films or literature or any other type of art. It gives scope to shape and help tell
