The Randomized Control Trial Into Breastfeeding

There's only really being one major randomized control trial into breastfeeding. They took 30 odd hospitals in 1990s Belarus and they randomly assigned half of them to do breastfeeding promotion to new mothers, sort of, to encourage women to breastfeed their babies. And as I understand it, as a breastfeeding promotion, as the actual promotion, it worked. Infants in the promotion arm were about seven times as likely to be breastfeed breastfed at three months as the ones in the not promoting breastfeed.
