Blackadder's co-writer Richard Curtis has enjoyed huge success with TV shows and films worldwide. But politics has always been there, too, getting involved in campaigns and Red Nose Day to make poverty history and even sustainable pensions. I asked him about why instead of relaxing on a beach and counting his money, he could not resist the lure of the political world. Do you like politicians? Do you have sympathy for them? Do they all wind you up? Well, I think one of the key things with me is trying not to appear more intelligent than I am.
