"I'm very, very grateful that my parents didn't make my upbringing or autistic friendly," he says. "We need to be exposed to the not so okay rather than be thrown in the deep end." He would rather have his bright lights or loud noises and so on in his home instead of suddenly finding it when there's other stresses and complications going on at the same time. We've got to help people with autism be able to meet halfway rather than all having to be evolving around them", he adds.
