The Importance of Humility in the Industry

I think the one thing our industry is absolutely in desperate need of is an element of humility. And look, we've lived through enough quant crashes and quant crises to hopefully develop that humility. Once again, grounding stuff in fundamentals at least gives you an anchor on which you can begin to have those conversations with clients or your colleagues about why we're doing what we're doing. I do think there's a greater understanding about the nature of risk, what does it mean when you're looking at statistics. So I've found that that's become an easier conversation over time.
