Popeye Comics
LZ Seagal was the original cartoonist who drew Popeye. He was Jewish, and there were a lot of sort of very, very subtle Jewish references and jokes in the strip. There's no actual scene of Popeye having John Gippur, or whatever. It's a very sort of Jewish inflected and influenced cartoon. When it appeared in fascist Italy, the creator's name, Seagal, was taken off it. But they still had to have the Popeye.
