In your book, you talk about what's been called the new animism. Animists believe everything is animate, obviously, and that's not just reindeer and trees. Part of what i'm trying to do is to argue for the development of a new form of magic. It would give us a much more open, healthy relationship with the world. So howar rocks sentient? There are a number of different scientific answers to that question.
