The Role of RNA Granules in Memory

The reaction networks that we seem to arrive at thermodynamically looked a lot like RNA granules which are sitting at the synapse. We came to the hypothesis that these granules were sort of what you might think of as computation in the brain. Now again whether you want to say they're the real seat of memory versus the synapse is still very much up for debate and there are people like Aaron Schulman doing great work along those lines.
