The Importance of Covering Your Eyes
The angels of God cover their eyes. Why? Because here is the Lord God who is so holy that not even the angels of God can look upon him and survive. And when they cry out, they cry out "holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts" The whole earth is full of his glory. This is incredible. It says, when Isaiah experiences this, he says, I say, what was me? I'm lost. We are made to be beautiful. We're made to be wise. But we fall short all the time. In stark contrast, we realize the truth about ourselves, that we are making to be good.
