The Importance of Externalities in Cybersecurity
An externality is an economics term. Basically, it's an effective decision not borne by the decision maker. We try to find the bugs and the vulnerabilities before the code is released. All of those things have analogs to hacks in the tax code or hacks in financial regulations. What we know in the computer field can apply out in the rest of the world.
