Is the Republican Party Going Back on This?

Back in a certainly 20 14, heading into 20 16, ted cruze was putting out plans to increase legal emigration. And now i don't know that you can find a republican who will really talk about increasing legal emigrations. Some might say they would be interested in moving to a merit base system of legal emigration, versus chain migration. But even that, no one's really talking about it loudly, at least.
