What to Look for in a Conlang on the Show

Linguistics theories are designed to analyze languages they are not designed for created creating languages so like nothing I've learned in my syntax class so far really has any application to conline that I can see. For a lot of our listeners it might melt your brains and I don't know necessarily that understanding x bar theory is going to help you create your language.
