How Does Accepting and Redirecting Anxiety Work?

When I was a new faculty member back in, gosh, 2008, 2010 or so, I was doing a lot of teaching. And right before I would go on either to give a lecture or maybe to give a talk at a conference, I would have just a lot of anxiety leading up to it. But with acceptance, you know, acknowledging that this is what's going through my mind, that doesn't mean that I have to believe it or that I must take it seriously.
