The Community Gathered Just as Much as They Needed

The rabbis teach that the community went out and gathered for everybody. Some weren't able to gather that much, or any at all. But some went out and gathering more than their share so that when they came in and measured it out, everybody had exactly what they needed. I think what we see here is that the israelites are learning from god. They're not just failing. Yes, they're going to have their rough moments. Ere about ready to have another rough moment here soon as we pick the story right back up.
