The Importance of Philosophy in Science

I think people don't appreciate actually, there's a lot of philosophy within science. If you look at quantum mechanics, for example, in terms of the equations of quantum mechanics, it's absolutely solid science. But then you ask what is going on in reality that makes those equations work? And there is no consensus. There are all these different interpretations. And essentially, you've just got to try and evaluate them on their own terms. And you're essentially doing philosophy. I would love it, actually, if we, if we did more of it, more of it at school.
