The Impact of Apprenticeship on the Economy
When the bill was passed in 1938, it was really primarily focused on construction and the traditional trades. Today, we are seeing growing, growing, growing amounts of industries participating in apprenticeship. Amazon, Google, IBM are all offering registered apprenticeship programs across a variety of job opportunities. Yet we don't have the policy infrastructure at the federal and even at state levels to really support this growth and understanding of these opportunities.
