The War in Chechnya
Russians installed a pro moscow chechan strong man, akmed kaderof to rule in chechni with russian support. The war became an insurgency, and it was truly vicious. In the hunt for suspected rebels, innocent or not, nobody was safe. I know young men who disappeared. Many have clearly been tortured. Most of the pictures are too disturbing to show but we've seen mutilated bodies. And this is where some of those arrested, end up a body wrapped in a carpet is unceremoniously dumped by Russian troops.
