The Toxicity of Shrews

It's because we assumed right, toxicity was the specific thing that snakes and insects do. We thought it took us from 1607 to 2004 to actually codify the toxicity of shrews. I think that's also so interesting about why we know about platypuses being venomous and toxic as they're this weird animal that doesn't necessarily fit into the category that we have set aside for ourselves about what a mammal is. And therefore, we aren't as surprised when it once again breaks that mold.
