Karol Jov and the DKRO
When Karol Jov became first deputy head of the overall FSB, that meant actually that the first service became part of his formal remit. The orders that go to the DKRO come fromKarol Jov to someone who is apparently a KarolJov proxy or client. He was implicated in the 2019 Goldenov case in which a journalist was framed on very iffy drug charges really as a part of us a little scheme within the Moscow FSB. This did him no good at all. And also, there was a point of particularly embarrassing criminal connection with a gangster by the name of Aslan Gagiev.
