USB mics are just plug and play, plug them into your computer and it's just super easy to get going. The professional stuff, like the professional stuff, they use an interface called XLR fancy. One nice thing about XLR hardware, if you are getting more fancy is you actually don't need a computer to record any of that stuff. So for example, like Zoom makes a bunch of these little devices where you can just plug the mic into that little device and it records it onto an SD card. When you've got multiple people involved, you've got some web services for handling like getting everybody into a session together or recording all the media stuff in one go.
