How to Cash a Book Contract

I've always wanted to write about Jim Simons. I reached out to them at one point to work with him. They were like, yeah, no, Greg. He's not working with you,. No, no, no. We'll let you know if he ever decides to write a book. When did you start the project with the publisher? Late 2016, maybe early 2017. And then for four months, I had this check on my desk and I wasn't going to cash it because I wanted the ability to give it back to the publisher.
