Elon Musk said he's aiming for brain implants that would be available to any consumer who wants one and the other thing he said was his long-term plans. He thinks human brains need to be directly connected to phones computers and applications you run Google searches directly from your brain or can even imagine connecting to someone else's mind seeing and hearing what that other person is doing. All this is part of a strategy to offset the fact that artificial intelligence one day is going to get so smart that it poses a threat to mankind so we need to be linked to AI to fight the evil AI.
