The Effects of Natural Selection on Sensory Perception
A recent article in a theoretical biology journal suggests that natural selection need not favor veridical perceptions. The effects of selection on sensory perception deserve further study, according to the paper. A lot of people will respond to planis argument and say, am clarly withith regard to perception, they look, well, my perceptions have to be true. If my perceptual faculties didn't work, ah, life would be pretty hard.
