Zephaniah's Call to Revere God

Zephaniah 1, 2 through 18 provides the setting for the book's main exhortations that follow. It calls readers to revere Yahweh in view of the nearness and nature of his impending wrath on not only Judah but the whole world. Verses 2 through 6 provide the context for this call to revere God, verses 7 through 18 provide the content of the call.
