The Leshy and the Russian Folklore

i was wondering the same thingano, again. I read this in the anthology of russian folk tales by jack v. Haney,. This being a more archaic take on spirits of the forest which are less narrative compared to other embodiments of the forest and wildness such as babayaga. So it seems that maybe the leshy and these stories are less going to be like, the main villain of the story and more kind of an environmental threat.
