Anger Can Be a Source of Protection and Compassion

The first part of the book is directed specifically to women, but it also is addressed to anybody. The reason i do it for woman is because women are so socialized not to be feared and that's partly why we've been kept in their place by not getting angry or not speaking opy. But a lot of my male friends have read it, and they say they get a lot out of it. Anger should not be undervalued as an important source of protection and compassion. It energizes us. It focuses us. It suppresses the fear respons so especially with people with anxiety. Helpful anger alleviates suffering. Unhelpful anger causes suffering.
