Is Probiotic Therapy Helpful for Antibiotic Induced Diarrhoea?

Probiotics may be helpful for antibiotic associated dirhoea in young people and children a, but the benefit has not been demonstrated in elderly people. Patients who were given probiotics had no more side effects than patients who did not receive them. There's limited data to suggest that probiotic supplementation is useful for conditions such as antibiotic induced diarrhoea.
