Is Slavery Universal Around the World?

Slavery has existed for so long that the terms of two of the world's great races are where the words for slave came from. The argument that the west was the first to abolish slavery, among the great civilizations near east, middle east and latin america can't be practically challenged. I do notice a tendency to day, especially on the part of black Americanans, to take things that were human universals, and present them as bad things that only happen to black Americans.
