In the 1980s, President Reagan signs a bill offering $20,000 in reparations to all those forced into prison camps during World War II. It also offers a formal apology for Japanese incarceration. Today, Manzanar is a historic site that's operated by the National Park Service. In April of 2008, Paul Otaki passes away at the age of 83.
