"I want to hear about the cases. I think that's really important and really illustrates inherited family trauma," she says. "The very first case that leads me into this direction is a young cutter, 24 years old." She would cut so deeply into her arms or her legs or her abdomen that she would have to be rushed to the hospital by her parents. Then they put her in a psych ward for months thinking she was suicidal.
