Roger Murray's Life and Career

Roger Gampo was a professor at Columbia Business School. He taught the Security Analysis class after Ben Graham. After graduating from Yale in 1932, he tried to get a job on Wall Street. But JP Morgan said they were shrinking and there were no jobs for him. His uncle had been head of Banker's Trust; his family didn't apply because it was nepotistic. Murray went on to have a 24-year career as an investment manager with JPMorgan Chase until 1956 when he retired.
