The Micorisal Fungi Also Killed Trees
Trees provide energy for the miselium, which doesn't have chlorophyll or leaves. The more photocynthate the tree provides to the fungus, the more it can grow through the soil and will return to the tree. If you get rid of that photo synthetic capacity, the fungi die because they need that. And so in forestry practices, clear cutting, spraying herb sides, getting rid of plants is a bad idea.
