The Importance of Accessible Web Design
The first set of guidelines for websites to help ensure that they met the needs of disabled people were released in 1999. Most countries around the world have anti-discrimination laws and websites fall under these laws. Accessible web design is also a legal requirement in most countries, but above everything else, it helps every business become more inclusive. 97% of websites contain detectable accessibility failures last year.
